Sitecore Developer

In the role of Senior Sitecore Developer, you will work as part of the project delivery team and assist with the technical discovery, architecture and development of Sitecore websites and systems integration.

You will care about your work and be meticulous when developing and testing your own code before sending it for peer review and internal test.  You will be firm but fair when reviewing the work of others in the team.

You will also be expected to contribute to our coding standards, best practices and operational procedures, maintaining the high quality our customers deserve and have come to expect from us.

Essential skills

• Certified Sitecore 9/10 developer with a proven track record at delivering performant and secure websites from the planning stage through to deployment (3 years commercial experience).
• Experienced at developing websites and software within a Microsoft environment using ASP.NET MVC and C# (5 years commercial experience).
• Microsoft SQL Server (5 years commercial experience).
• Javascript, JQuery, HTML and CSS (3 years commercial experience).
• Experienced in using and extending Sitecore features such as permissions, workflow, content search, caching, personalisation and xDB.
• Experienced at implementing headless Sitecore solutions using Sitecore JSS and GraphQL.
• Optimising Sitecore content delivery performance in both a headless and non-headless architecture.
• Solid understanding of distributed source control systems, preferably Git / Microsoft DevOps.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) and Azure Build/Release pipelines.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills under pressure.
• Estimating and contributing to the project backlog in the form of user stories, tasks and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will play a key role in solution design, so it is important that you can document requirements and technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
• Familiarity with Sitecore Helix guidelines and serialisation tooling such as Unicorn or Sitecore CLI.
• Experienced with Sitecore installation tooling such as SAT and SIF.
• Deploying and managing Sitecore applications on Vercel.  
• Experience with Umbraco or Episerver/Optimizely CMS.
• Working within an Agile delivery methodology.
• An understanding of SOLID principles.
