Our work

3chillies have partnered with the digital marketing team at RPC for a number of years, developing a strong working relationship. We were delighted to be able to help RPC refresh their website to reflect an exciting update to the RPC brand with new website designs from Living Group.

We started the project in the Autumn of 2023, with all work completed by June 2024. The work was delivered in two phases, helping to change the look and feel of some existing components, pages and templates within RPC’s Sitecore CMS, as well as create some completely new elements.

Over the two phases, 3chillies helped to deliver:

  • Changes to the top navigation and footer to reflect a revised taxonomy which streamlined the number of sectors and service pages on the site, while also integrating a secondary navigation to provide a less overwhelming experience for users.
  • Introduced an attractive rollover feature on partner and associate profile photos revealing a surprising second more informal photo of the subject, helping to convey RPC’s innovative brand and people-focused culture.
  • Refreshed the People landing page which now features RPC’s leadership team by default and also helped to reduce the number of job titles in the people search drop down list to improve the user experience.
  • Gave RPC the ability to add tailored messaging to People search results based on what the visitor was searching for, again to provide a more engaging search experience.
  • Added over 25 new fully responsive Sitecore components working from Living Group designs, adding a range of eye-catching, brand-aligned way to display and interact with content across multiple pages, helping to make RPC’s content shine.
  • Helped to incorporate new iconography, photography and brand assets extensively across the site.
  • Worked with a third-party CMS GatherContent often used for updating content, and then architected and implemented an automated content migration done via an API, squirting content directly into the Sitecore CMS.
  • Worked in a smart way to minimise disruption and reduce the time required for any “content freeze” as the new site went live.

Results

The results speak for themselves with a revamped site that successfully evokes the RPC brand, while also delivering more engaging content and improved findability. The RPC digital team are pleased with the results and have received good feedback internally from partners and staff about the improved site.

The new website has also seen an uptick in analytics, with an 86% in increase in engaged sessions on sector and services pages and an 180 % increase in the engagement rate. 3chillies continues to work in partnership with RPC and we’re looking forward to making future improvements.
